Botox

Botulinum Toxin A, known as “botox,” is an injectable medication that treats unwanted facial lines caused by muscle contraction. The medication typically works for 3-4 months at a time, during which period the muscles remain relaxed and do not cause deepening of facial wrinkles. Treating lines early may prevent the formation of deeper and more permanent wrinkles, which cannot be completely treated with botox.

Botox is typically injected in various muscles in the face and neck to minimize forehead lines, “crows feet,” “bunny lines” on the nose, and elsewhere.
